Quadrium ale

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet... All I can say is smooth, Belgian, high in alcohol content (11%), and... honey. This is Urthel Samaranth Quadrium ale from the Netherlands, for Belgium. Confusing, right? It's "produced" in the former but "brewed" for the latter. "Dutch with a Flemish touch" as it says in the bottle. Robin likes this one but I'm not particularly impressed by it. This ale is very simple in flavor, not a lot of spice or hops, but like I said it's smooth with hints of honey. I wonder if the flavor has anything to do with the November 2006 expiration date. Oh, wait, foreign dates are backwards, it's June 2011... I've got a buzz already. You can tell because I'm rambling :-) Try this beer if you've got any interest in foreign brews.
